Rue: National Estate of Saint-Cloud
Ville: Saint-Cloud
Pays: France

Opening on Friday 19 November at the National Estate of Saint-Cloud, one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe, Lumières en Seine transports you to the heart of a unique experience inspired by Christmas and the end of year celebrations, for an illuminated, musical and immersive trail of approx. 2 kilometres.

Situated on the western outskirts, not so far away from the glittering lights of Paris and easily accessible by public transport (at the end of the metro line 10!), this historical green park, hanging above the city, is transformed every evening and as soon as night falls, into a true artistic and sensory discovery reinforced by a spectacular scenography, to discover with family or friends.

For the first time this winter, an endless maze of paths, passageways, trees and water features within the Parc de Saint-Cloud will be awash with hundreds of thousands of lights, lasers and projections thus creating an enchanting experience for friends or a romantic night out, as well as a fun activity for families to enjoy the festive season in a safe, outdoor environment.

Both celebrating and respecting the natural surroundings, and flora and fauna of the park, this very special light trail will feature colourful and brilliant light installations including floating water lilies, an impressive field of lights, dreamlike laser-scape amongst the trees and a pyrotechnic show. In addition, the trail will also see the revival of the ‘forgotten chateau’ thanks to a stunning combination of video design, projection mapping on water and light.

Cosy rest spots with a selection of mouth-wateringly good food stalls, mulled wine and hot chocolate, as well as specially designed firepits for outdoor marshmallow toasting will complete the experience.

From the entrance located at the Clemenceau gate (Grille Clémenceau) to the very end of the trail, Lumières en Seine promises to be the perfect evening out; a wondrous encounter that will bring people together at this magical time of year.

The light path will be run in accordance with Covid-19 guidance in place at the time of the event, with the health and safety of visitors and staff remaining the priority. In addition to regular cleaning of touch points and hand sanitisation stations in place throughout the outdoor site, Lumières en Seine, will operate a timed entry system, ensuring a comfortable, spacious and safe
environment for all visitors.

Created and produced by global events and entertainment leader IMG (Tutankhamun exhibition at La Villette and Taste of Paris at the Grand Palais) and DEAG Entertainment Group / Christmas Garden Deutschland GmbH (creator of 15 acclaimed light trails in Europe), the experience will be of the highest quality and standard befitting the historic location.
